Every person's body is unique—including height, size, bone and connective tissue density, and joint depth and orientation. Because each body is so different, yoga asana practice must adapt accordingly. This is the core principle of "Functional Teaching."

This module emphasizes understanding the functional purpose of each pose, how to achieve training objectives, and that asanas should support body-mind health rather than forcing the body into standardized shapes.

Deep dive into the Yoga Sutras and Buddhist philosophy, making ancient teachings practical for modern life.

Course Structure

In this module, the course is divided into three parts, aiming to establish the foundation for practice and teaching.

Part 1

Yin Yoga & Functional Anatomy

  • Understanding the functional objectives of different postures (i.e. the intended outcome of the movement).
  • Case analysis: Recognizing the variations in movement patterns for different body types within the same posture.
  • Learning how to apply modifications within a single pose to ensure practitioners of varying body types achieve the same functional training outcome.
  • Identifying the appropriate practice methods and approaches suitable for one's current physical and mental state.

Part 2

The Practice

Yang Yoga & The Art of Sequencing

  • Applying the practice techniques learned in Part Two within Vinyasa flow.
  • The functionality and application techniques of pose sequencing blueprints.
  • Experiencing the physical effects achievable through different sequences.
  • The art of teaching.
  • Various assisting and adjustment techniques.
  • Practice teaching session.

Elective for RYT500

Course Details

Course Fee for Module 1: Yin Yang Yoga

Trainees can complete this module independently for personal growth and to deepen their practice. Each standalone module can also serve as a Continuing Education course for RYT teachers certified by the Yoga Alliance.

If you are pursuing a professional yoga instructor career, this unit is a mandatory module for RYT200 certification. Furthermore, Part One and Three of this module are available as elective courses towards the RYT500 advanced certification.

RYT200*+ 300 小時進階培訓: 陰陽瑜伽 或 瑜伽行者+正念+做自己

• 已取得美國瑜伽聯盟(Yoga Alliance)認可的註冊 RYT200 老師資格(任何傳承均可)

• 選修單元 (二選一)
《陰陽瑜伽》(第一及第三節) ;或
《瑜伽行者》+《陰陽瑜伽》(第三節,即第4-8日下午試教練習)

• 必修單元《正念》 + 《做自己》

順利完成所有學術要求後,可獲得RYT500的專業資格。
